From then till now...

Journey of Wedding Preparations

I accompanied Teris from the start of her wedding preparations,
beginning from trying of gowns, discussing with the wedding studio,
selection of wedding shoes, choosing of wedding favours, making trips
down to meet the OCC wedding coordinator, then also to meeting up with
the sisters to discuss her Hen's nite preparation, actual wedding day
preparation etc... The past few months I have been happily,
satisfactory, busy with all these preparation stuffs with her...I am
very very glad that I walked with her thru' this journey, especially
when her husband was not in Singapore to settle all these things with
her, and it really brought us much much closer than previous days...

Friendships - New Friendships and Closer Old Bondings

From this whole process of wedding preparation with her, I have got to
know new friends - Candice Yong and Adeline Lee, and their respective
boyfriends, not forgetting Ziqing lah! The older group of friends - Ah
Bao, Wanling, and especially Huijing, we forge a closer bond with each
other as we know we have to there for one another when Teris is not
physically with us the next time round. Hujing and Teris has always
been the best of friends ever since Sec Sch days, and no one can
replace either of them. But I will try to give Huijing my best support
and friendship as well

For the new friends we have got to know, we shall keep in contact and meet up for coffee or dinner k?

New Beginnings, New Life

Despite that I do miss her loud and crazy laughter, her "Wah Lau" all
over the place, and her Blur Blur look, I am really happy for her that
she is finally not lonely when she's flying over to Holland, finally
there is Jeroen accompanying her during transit, and time will not be
lonely anymore. Finally she can go hand-in-hand with her hubby and not
just seeing her friends in pairs...Finally she will have a home of her
own, her new life, a new beginning....

During her wedding day, after interacting with her in-laws and
sister-in-law, I can rest assured that she will be well taken care of,
and will also b as happy there...

I can see the bliss and happiness in her...So deep down, I am still happy for her...

*Note: I will try my best to save $$$ to go Holland to visit you ok?

Do take good care of yourself and do keep us updated with you life. Get a blog lah! Upload photos more often.Hee...

Teris and Jeroen's Farewell Dinner

We know she'll have free time to try out cooking once she reach Holland, so give her 2 receipe books (Dim Sum & Pastry) to try out lah!

Mr and Mrs Jeroen Van De Bros treated the Xiong Dis and Jie Meis for Thank-You cum Farewell Dinner @ Sizzler (Suntec). That was where we had our first meeting together as Brothers and Sisters, and now we came to the final rounding up at the same place, but now becoming closer and had more jokes and laughter around...Its really a good thing to have more friendship and to know more things throught the conversation.

I do hope our friendship will not die down, and still keep alive even thou Teris is faraway....

Teris Big Day on 12th Nov 2005

The 2 cute couple bear (Me-To-U) are gifts from us on her Birthday

It's my best buddy's Big Day on 12th Nov 2005. I m sure most of the photos Adeline and Candice Yong (View under My Multiply Network) had uploaded, so I am uploading a few of my own collections. Hee..I enjoyed myself the whole day and I am really happy, happy for Teris...

The Eve of the Big Day was spent on buying the food items to sabo the Xiong Dis (But little do we know that my closest Dear actually sell me out leh! He peeked into my email and disclose our secret!)

On The Big Day, all of us wake up early, and feeling nauseous as we all din slp well the nite before. There was thunder and rain, and I dun really like the weather for the start lor. Lucky for our bride, its back to sunny weather when its time to head off to her Church Wedding.

The Church Wedding was quite some time, but its meaningful to Teris and Jeroen, right? We love the finger foods! I managed to catch the flowers that Teris throw to us! & i was so happy! Geez...

The Dinner @ The Orchid Country Club was still ok, except we find their wedding coordinator/planner are quite bad and inefficient. So Think Twice before you want to choose that place for Wedding Banquet k? We manage to pull through successfully the whole banquet and all was glad it was done nicely.

We had great talk with Jeroen's parents while sending them back to the hotel, and I love them! I believe they will take good care of Teris which is a great relief for us.

I hope my wedding can be as beautiful as well. Hopefully My Dear Teris can attend my wedding too...Duno if she will carry a small one in her arms?hiak hiak...

Hen's nite for my best friend

We celebrated my best fren, Teris's Hen's nite on 2nd Nov 2005, at
Changi Village Le Meridien Hotel. The 7 of us, including our group and
her poly frens, had a fun time laughing, joking, talking and of cuz,
taking photos! We bought games and wine along, but in the end, we din
play or make her drunk. Love her and dote on her too much that we din
sabo her lah!  Consider her lucky lah! Haha...

Very soon she will have her wedding on upcoming saturday, and then will
be flying off to Holland to stay after that. Very soon I will miss
her...The badminton games will be less enjoyable without her craziness
and hearty laughter...She has always been our main character in our
group.

Will share with you all for her wedding next week!

Disappointed : (

We received a letter from HDB yday and we r not selected for the
balloting exercise for the Toa Payoh flat...both of us r quite
disappointed
Cuz that means we have to wait till 2011 before the Sengkang flat is
built (provided that there are enough buyers lah). Sigh...We r planning
to get married next year or so, yet we are facing the problem of
getting the flat. We can stay with my in-laws for the time being, 1-2
years are still ok, but if we have to wait till 2011..sigh...by the
time, our baby is already few years old liao. I am really looking
forward to have my own home, our own private space, to have our own
private time... Anyway, no choice now, except to wait...sigh...

For the better news, we have confirmed our ROM date to be 20 Jan 2006 -
our 4th anniversary. Now we are just taking another step forward to our
plans (except the flat lor). Pardon me, my frens, I may not be able to
invite you all for the solemnization ceremony due to the constraints
set by the ROM. Hope you all can understand...I will still be inviting
the important and close friends to witness my wedding banquet. TBC...

These few weeks I have been busy with my dearest frend - Teris's
wedding preparation. Thou busy, but I am very happy for her. From all
these preparation, I have learnt to be more detailed here and there,
learnt what to take note of, etc. I hope everythin will be carried out
smoothly on her wedding day, without her worrying about anything. Right
now, I am also doing research on restaurants so as to treat my family
after the ROM session. Any bright ideas for me? hee...

Firefly Trip

After
going on the "Firefly" trip, I decided to do some research on more info
about them... They are quite an interesting sight to see...

DESCRIPTION

The firefly
is actually a beetle and not a fly at all. Fireflies can grow
to 9 centimeters in length and are easily identified by their
flat bodies, blackish backs, large eyes, and short antennae. Of
course, fireflies are most readily identified by their bioluminescent
abdominal region. Both adults and larva are capable of glowing.
Even firefly eggs glow!

HABITAT
AND RANGE

There
are over 2,000 species of firefly inhabiting the temperate and
tropical regions of the earth. Fireflies are found in a variety
of habitats, especially forest edges, wooded backyards, and areas
near streams or ponds. Some fireflies species, however, or found
in desert regions. Fireflies are most common in warm, humid areas
of the world. South and central America and southern Asia support
the greatest diversity of firefly species. In North America, fireflies
that glow are typically found only west of the Great Plains.
-

DIET

Firefly
larva are predators and feed on earthworms, snails, and slugs.
Larva can detect the slime from a slug and follow the trail to
its prey. Adult fireflies feed mostly on flower nectar.

BIOLUMINESCENCE

Fireflies
produce light by initiating a chemical reaction of Luciferin,
Luciferase and Oxygen. Amazingly enough, the firefly "light"
is extremely efficient - about ten times more energy efficient
than a light bulb. Most scientists believe fireflies light up
to advertise to predators that they taste bad. When fireflies
are disturbed, the frequency and intensity of their glow increases.
Fireflies also glow as a means of communication between males
and females. Scientists believe that certain aspects of a male's
flashing pattern (such as frequency of flashing) are more attractive
to female fireflies and increase his chance of mating.

Kota Tinggi Trip aka Firefly Trip

Can you see some of them are posing together with us?Haha...

It's a 1-day trip to Kota Tinggi whereby its cheap, and worth looking fwd to, as we got seafood lunch, Orstrich Farm sigh-seeing and of cuz the "limelight" - The Firely River Cruise!! The fireflies that were flickering on the trees were so beautiful!! They look like the light decorations on Xmas trees!! Haha...Stimes there will be one that will fly near us and how I wish we can catch it! It's a beautiful sight...
We really enjoyed ourselves even thou we woke up real early and came back so dead beat! Enjoy the photos we took! *Thanks to Dear to bring me to such a nice trip, I look forward to many others...Hee...*
