1st Day Being Jobless
I do feel sad...There are things that I can't let go...The people there, especially Pei Pei who was my greatest mentor help while I was there, and the 3 musketeers whom have accompanied all my good and bad times (AP, Private Hee, and Steph). They even had a farewell dinner thrown for me @ Miramar Hotel yesterday. They are always so sweet to me...Nice friends....
My Papa Kang talked to me the first time after he came back from his holiday on Wednesday. I thought he would be unhappy with me and decided not to talk to me anymore. Instead, he passed me a gift, shaked my hands, and also wished me all the best...I wanted so much to hug him..Cuz he is juz like a father to me..Strict yet caring. He had been very very patient to me while I was still learning and stumbling...I felt I have let them down...They have treated me so well... Triccie also called from the States, and one of her msg touched me - Do not underestimate yourself.
I will remember all the encouraging words that all of you have given me...Thank you....
1st day being jobless and staying at home...I thought I was looking forward to it all these while...But the whole house became quiet without the radio being switched on...For not working, I felt I am not being "useful" enough...Contradiction right? People are always so complicated...
Well, despite all the grumblings, I am going to enrich my days being jobless. Do housework lah, meet friends lah, run errands lah. I am also going to start organizing my life better, and more planning for searching for the next job...
That was this one sweet thing that happened to me yesterday - At the farewell lunch @ Sze Chuan Do Hua restaurant, we had some fortune cookies provided after the lunch. I took the last piece and this is what I gotten:
"A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, with the same person"
Isn't it sweet and touching to one's heart? I find it so very applicable to my current life....I finish up my fortune cookie and kept my fortune slip, wishing that things work in this way.

A Wonder-licious Dinner With Friends @ Shangri-La

It is such a wonderful Friday evening, enjoying a sumptous buffet dinner @ Sharngri-La Hotel, with 3 other TRUE BLUE REAL FRIENDS!!! We had so much fun sharing lots of jokes, laughter and old time stories...We just pour our hearts out and chat and eat non-stop!!! How wonderful life is, to be able to know such great friends @ work place yah? We have been sharing our joys and sadness with one another, making our friendship even closer than anyone else in the office.
Cherie, Aipoh & Stephanie: Thank you very much for your encouragement and support when I was really down @ work. Its your sincerity and friendship that keep me going... I feel I am so fortunate to be able to know such wonderful people in my life, from school days, to my first job in P-Serv, then to Morgan Stanley...I am really grateful for all these life encounters with you all....

I need a HR-cum-job counsellor to help me sort my thoughts!!
After making the decision to leave my current job, I have few other problems bugging me liao...
- Without this high-paying job, what should I do to ensure there is enough income for my housing loans, credit card loans and basic survival needs (eating)?
- where am I to go after going without a job?
- wat do I like to do?
- where is the right place to accomodate me?
Sometimes I feel so useless...Can I take stress? I ask myself? Prefer not to. I am like a brainless, aimless Graduate. Why do I study so much to come to this stage whereby I ditch a high-paying job that is hard to come by? To me, Money cannot buy happiness. They juz can buy you butter and bread.
I feel so confused of what I want in looking for a job. I look at so many factors! Interest, salary, benefits, working hours, distance & convenience from my house, etc....i feel so pampered and spoilt! Why can't I bite my lips and take the hardship?? Why can't I realise that there is no "Perfect" job out there? I feel that I need some serious counselling, probably from a job counsellor? Or maybe I should ask myself, why am I so afraid of facing stress? What happened to me? That suddenly I feel I only want a job that O-level/ ITE graduate can apply one. Why am I so useless and wan badly to be unchallenged? Sigh.........
Useless graduate, I always say myself..
Think I have wasted my parents' money by going to University.
Actually I think, I know I can do better than being an admin clerk. Yet I hate to be thrown into the deep big sea for the position I am doing now (Trading cum Client Servicing Asst). It just gives me the jitters when handling high net-worth clients. *scary*
What can I do?

Understanding more about Myself...
Cancer: June 21 - July 22
Your most likeable trait: LOYALTY
No one has ever said Cancerians are easy to understand. You may appear gentle,
kind, sympathetic, and a patient listener. Then someone asks for advice, and
you turn cranky, snappish, and appear to be completely indifferent to anyone's
problems but your own. You may wallow in self-pity and complain endlessly about
how mistreated you are by the world. Turn another page of the calendar and
suddenly you are back being helpful, solicitous, ready to do anything asked
of you.
What's your secret? Cancer, which is ruled by the Moon and has water as its
element, can be likened to the shifting tides of the oceans. Like the tides,
Cancer is the sign of powerful forces moving under the surface. That surface,
however, is quite difficult to penetrate, for Cancerians tend to build up an
elaborate array of defenses to hide their deep feelings and extremely sensitive.
Complex, fragile, unpredictable, temperamental, the typical Cancerian needs
a constant support and encouragement. You want desperately to be loved and
approved of but resent needing approval so badly. When you get what you need,
you give the best you have in return. Those who make you feel secure command
your undying loyalty. When you really care for someone there is nothing anyone
can say about that person that will make the least bit of difference. You
have a real blind spot when it comes to seeing a failing in those you love.
You tend to be a worrier and a silent brooder. People may pour out their hearts
to you, but the flow never goes in the other direction. You guard your secrets
well.
If offended, you do not strike back directly. Your method of retaliation is
to sulk, and it is often very effective. The technique is somewhat like being
whipped to death by a dozen strands of boiled spaghetti.
Cancer's symbol, the crab, has a hard outer shell that protects soft, vulnerable
flesh underneath. The same is true of Cancerians, who are often crusty, gruff
and grumpy, but possess a proverbial heart of gold. Beneath your tough exterior
you are a sentimental softie who will make any sacrifice for someone in need.
If someone asks for a favor, your first reaction will probably be no, but the
final answer is always yes. You should be judged not by what you say but by
what you do.
You are possessive. Anyone who becomes part of your life will never again
be entirely free. You try to stay in touch with friends, ex-lovers, former
spouses, business associates, persons you knew as children. If you let anyone
go out of your life, it is unwillingly and never completely. This reflects
your preoccupation with the past. An aura of nostalgia dwells about you; the
events and people of bygone years continue to inhabit your memory and usually
grow dearer to you as time goes by. You are devoted to family and home and
continue to believe in the old fashioned idea that marriage is forever—even
if the events in your own life contradict this.
It is hard to deceive you, for you can spot the tiniest nuances of behavior.
In fact, you are almost psychic in your intuitions. A photographic memory added
to intense powers of observation makes you extremely canny about divining other
people's inner motivations.
Cancerians are crab-like in their indirect approach to an intended target.
Observe a crab moving on a beach and you will notice its strange sidewise movement
toward a goal. People born under the sign of the Crab never take the direct
approach. You step to one side, then step to the other side and sometimes go
completely around. But you get where you intend to go.
If channeled in the right direction, your enormous sensitivity can be a greta
source of strength. Once you overcome your shyness and touchiness and master
your turbulent emotions, your intellect and imagination enable you to become
a success in almost anything you undertake. Contrary to the impression you
often give, you can be shrewd and canny in business. Cautious, conservative
in your approach, you possess an antenna that quickly gauges public taste and
opinion and senses new trends in the making. This instinct for business combined
with imagination is visible in such famous fashion designers as Bill Blass,
Oscar de la Renta and Pierre Cardin.
Cancer people hold on to money as tenaciously as they do to everything else
that belongs to them. To you money spells security, yet no matter how much
wealth you accumulate you never feel really secure. That is true of your emotional
security also. A Cancerian never gets enough love and approval, you always
need more. it is very easy to fall in love with this loyal, devoted, affectionate,
and protective Moon-child.

Our Xmas Tree!
This year is our first Xmas in our new love nest, and being a Xmas festival lover, I will definitely buy a Xmas tree for the house! I never know that setting up a Xmas Tree is so different! The whole tree is divided into different color codes for each level, then after putting all the branches on the tree stem, you have to branch out the leaves. The shimmery stuffs kept dropping on the floor as we put up the decorations. The lights are the main thing! Once u switch on the lights, oh gosh! how beautiful that is! Well, despite all the wonderful things abt this Xmas tree, we spend about $250 on the whole thing, and our BIG star is $20 liao! :P Forgive us for indulging on our very first Xmas tree...I simply love Xmas...Just that not enough presents to put under the tree (hinting u all out there hor) :P
Merry Xmas My Friends!

Lovely Moments with Dawn

Both of us really love our niece - Dawn. She is so clever, adorable and cheeky. We can sacrifice our precious time of sleep to spend more time with her while her parents are on holiday trip. She is really so important to us in our life. A pity that she seems reluctant to be close to JQ. I hope I can bear children who loves JQ and wants to be close to him : P
I also hope our children will be as adorable and clever as her.

Seriously pondering over my life...
I began to shut myself up, I began to fear, I began to cry, I began to breakdown (more than once). It is so difficult to continue working with the high demands and needs from my job...I began to ponder, why am I making my life so difficult? Why should I subject myself to such unhappiness while I am earning the big bucks? I spoke to the management ppl - They are all very nice to me, yet they are very straightforward when they pinpt my weaknesses - Lack of confidence & maturity.
Yes,I agree. Despite I am 24 years old this year, I am married, I am still lack of maturity. Why leh? Cuz I am afraid to face the stress in work. I am such a weakling that I refuse to face it, I refuse to grow up. Or do I just plainly started to detest the work I am doing, because I am afraid of the high demands of the job? I duno...I am very very down...I broke down in office...I hate myself...for not being able to face it, to grow up, like what they said about me...
All these while, my only wish is to get married, set up a decent family, get a decent job whereby I am not required to be on stand-by every minute even during lunch, or after-work, or during off-days or during MC. I just wan to complete my work for the day and knock off at decent time. I love my home, I love my husband, I love my family and friends. Why can't I focuz more on them while I jus hold a decent 9-to-5 job?
I admit I am not a strong n tough person. I admit I am not confident enough...But why can't I be the way I am?I felt so touched when Dear said that I do not need to try to be the person what others want be to be. I am what I am. Why should I pretend to be tough and strong when I am not like that? He accepts me for what I am...I felt so touched...At the same time, I really wish I am more grown-up, more matured, more readily to face stress, so that if we have baby, we are able to cope with the demands of life...
I have therefore requested to transfer out of my current role which they have agreed. Hopefully in the next secretary's assistant role I will be in, I will be more able to cope with the stress and demands...
Please...I really keep my fingers cross...
If not, what should I do? Quit and find another job I like? Tryin to adjust to a new environment takes time, and the starting process is quite difficult..I tried it when I first joined this company. Especially when you jump to an entirely different sector...
Why is my work life so messy while I know perfectly what I want in my personal life?Work is my least priority. I work because I need constant income and to keep my mind working, and to keep myself updated with the society.
I pray that the hard times would be gone real soon, and get a job that I would feel comfortable in.

Our Honeymoon in Bangkok

A 5 days 4 nights trip in bangkok is our 1st honeymoon trip. Few years ago, Bangkok is also the place where we went for our 1st holiday trip (with friends). It was quite shiok mainly attributed to LOTSA SHOPPING - at MBK, Chatuchak. The relaxing couple spa package that we have took up at The Healthland is also very much enjoyable..A pity that I din really like the place that we hav booked (kinda eerie and small n practically nt a hotel), Air Asia flight and also my lost of voice and constant coughing...
We even went for a 1/2 day Chao Praya River tour-cum-city tour, booked with the local tour group. The tour guide, Nina is a very chatty and bubbly lady who have given us a lot of information. She even commented that Dear looks like one of the Thai actor who is bad role. haha...Not bad huh, go anywhere also attract ppl with his asian good looks huh. haha...
We even went to watch the Cabaret Show @ Asia Hotel. Some of them look very feminine and pretty, while some seems to have failed the operation. We were sitting very near the stage, and my lucky Dear, got pulled up by the Ah-guas to do a short dance performance with them!! Muahahah... He was so nervous yet he managed to pull it through with his stiff dancing.. :P
Now, we are looking forward to our Europe trip next year...

Relishing wonderful moments of our wedding...

Our Wedding: 3rd Nov 2006
Preparation Time: More than 1 year - Started from buying bridal magazines, attending wedding shows, sourcing for bridal shops, photographer, videographer, to booking of hotel for the wedding dinner, planning of itinery, getting close friends/colleagues to help as Brothers/ Sisters/ Emcees, printing of invitation cards & table arrangements.
Actual Day: Din really feel the excitement kicking in, even from the eve of the wedding day. Only until the makeup artist started to do the makeup, the photographer and videographer getting ready to shoot, and then upon hearing all my relatives and sisters pouring into my house to get themselves ready. At the very moment when I hear the loud honking of the cars, do I realise that their arrival is setting my heart to pounce out from my mouth! Haha! I was so excited that I grasped my mum's hand, exclaiming " 他们来了!"
I missed the playing games part cuz I m waiting inside the room, waiting for my "Prince Charming" to break through the obstacles and to come and fetch me. Later it becomes a whirlwind process of getting ourselves starting on the journey of going to one place to another, to start the tea ceremony in one house and another.
The greatest excitement: Comes from the Gorgeous looking Red Beetle Convertible!! It is simply wonderful to be sitting in that car, opening the top, and taking pictures in it! Woohoo! All thanks to my JC sisters for sponsoring my dream wedding car! They've contributed in making part of my dream to come true!
The most emotional part: Huggin my parents before leaving the house, and seeing my mum starting to tear...Oh my god!! They are the closest family kin I have in my life, and I love them so much!!! My life is starting another chapter, and I am always glad that I have my family in my life all these years... My relationship with my mother is also very very close...& I felt so touched when she started to tear... Mummy & Daddy, I love u 2 so much...I will still be your dearest daughter despite getting married off.
The most amazing thing for the Day: Dear becomes so spontaneous in playing the games that my sisters requested, and also said amazing touching words to me in front of other people! I can't believe that my shy Dear has become so daring for that day! Maybe he got drunk from the very start of the morning...Haha....After the dinner ended, with only us in the room, with him drunk after being "saboed" by the friends, he started to hug me and tell me things that are very very touching and emotional....I m Soooo Touched by what he is telling me...* Hope he is conscious and knows what he has told me lah! Haha...*
The small little regrets: I din get to decorate my reception area the way I hope it can be. I was not early enough to attend the cocktail reception and mingle with my relatives, friends and colleagues which I wanted to do badly! I din get much time and chance to chat with old-time friends, or to take more photos with them... Too busy twirling round and round by the sequence of events...
What I wanted to say now: A BIG "Thank U" to our wonderful Brothers & Sisters, Emcees and all the friends who have helped one way or another...The wedding is a success!! Of Cuz, we are also very touched by the majority's attendance for the night, and their well-wishes and compliments...U all make me feel so good about myself for that night!! Really!! I am also grateful for the tremendous good work of my videographer - Christopher Tay, cuz his Video express is praised and well-liked! He has captured wonderful moments and portrayed in a very touching and humorous way... Andy, my photographer has also done a good job by cheering ppl up before taking photos. I am confident of his works. Jessie, my MUA has also been a very nice person, who has dolled me up very beautifully for my ROM and the actual day. I have been fretting over the hairstyle for the daytime, but she has done it so well that I feel I should not have worried so much in the first place! Danny (from Sattine) has also been such a nice guy from the start we took up the package from them. He is ever so dearing and nice to us, that we are happy to be using his bridal services! Every so dedicated to his customers on his works and services. Lastly, Felicia who is my hotel Banquet Mgr has been such a nice lady who is every ready to make things work for us! Even the Duty Mgr for that day, Roy, has made us felt so reassured that things are going to work well.
Conclusion: I have wonderful memories, and happy moments throughout the whole preparation process and the wedding day itself. I have wonderful friendships which I will treasure them dearly. I am fortunate and blessed to have such wonderful family support, and lastly, I am glad that I have found you as my lifelong partner, Mr Yam

Eve of My Wedding - 梳头仪式

On the eve of my wedding, at 11pm (the auspiscious time), both sides of the groom and bride have to go through the 梳头仪式 (which I think is for the Cantonese tradition)
We have to prepare joss sticks, 龙凤烛, 汤圆,comb, mirror, ruler & I have to wear my new pyjamas for the night. My 3rd aunt is here to help me, by reciting the 一梳,二梳...verse. Can't remember the exact verse. Then we will eat the 汤圆. My silly dear followed his mum's instructions, sayin awake to watch the 龙凤烛 finish burning, and he stayed up till 3am!! My goodness!! No wonder he is so tired the whole day of our wedding! haha...For us, we just let it continue burning (for 长长久久meaning bah) throughout the night while we go and sleep..
It is another interesting wedding tradition that I have went through, and captured it photos and video (All thanks for my dear 小弟!)

Reminiscence Trip to Science Centre - Our 1st Date

After 4 years, we have decided to make a Reminiscence Trip back to Science Centre whereby we first started our dating journey...We braved the rain and wind (and the haze) to go all the way there for some memories, 2 weeks before our actual wedding.
We enjoyed ourselves as we played the fun experiments there, thou my science knowledge isnt that good, and my patience to read the explanation info isnt there. So we just walked along, took pictures, and tried to recollect our memories 4 years ago...A pity we can't watch the "Beauty & The Beast" in IMAX this time round..If not, the feeling will definitely be very different!
After the Science Centre trip, we went to Huijing and Ziqin's new house for a short visit. Rather seeing pictures from the camera, its better to be there to see and feel the REAL house! Pretty homely feeling, very soon it will be completed and have their own private space where they call their "Home". Happy for them!
Very fast, our weekend just passed like that..Very soon, we have to face the reality of work for 5 (should be 4) more days... Sigh...Depressed to go back to work without my partner as she will be away for her Hari Raya leave...Double sigh sigh...
2 more weeks to go...to our wedding...

My Memorable Hen's Nite 14.10.06 - Part I

Had arranged my Hen's nite party together with my JC Sisters, Primary School mates who are also my emcees, and also the 姐妹团 on last Saturday (14 Oct 06) at Conrad Hotel. We had redeemed Starhub vouchers which make 1 nite's stay much cheaper than usual.
Afternoon Activity: The 6 of us went for KTV-ing session @ KBox Suntec, to keep away from the terrible & horrible haze, and also to satisfy our long-awaited craving for singing.
Dinner Gathering is @ Marche Suntec, whereby everyone can make their own choice of food yet big groups can sit together. Forgottened to introduce some of my friends to each other cuz I was too "dazed"..hee..opps!
Highlight of the Nite - The "cunning" girls brought me to grocery shopping at Carrefour. To buy what? Alcohol + Soft Drinks + Tidbits! They are going to make me drunk, by hook or by crook!!! ARGH !!! I am totally under their control cuz majority wins! I was forced to glup down either by half glass or 1 full glass when they go round to wish me one by one. So I took one by one, one after another...Soon, I felt my head was throbbing, my face burning, and did I hear someone saying that I look like a lobster!?!? After finishing on making me drunk, they started to play 黑白猜. Luckily I was sober (yet partly semi-conscious at times) that I knew what number was in store, and so I escaped few more rounds of drinking! I drank so much that I wan to vomit liao lor!
Best part is, the interrogation-cum-filming-cum-phototaking begins to start when I was 3/4 drunk liao...Nonsense starts to pour out..Truth starts to reveal... Very funny hor, everyone? U all better keep that night of secrets to u and only u hor! Regret being so drunk by ownself...ARgh.... Till later I can't tahan, I begin to pour out like Merlion into the toilet bowl, of all the cakes n chocolates that I have eaten (YUCKY rite?) As Sharon has said, luckily I AIM very good, I din make a mess out of their toilet floor.haha... After vommiting out and concussing for 15 mins or so, I feel more sober and the few of us begin to chit chat on my wedding preparations...
The wedding preparations can never finish one leh..Si bei ma fan one leh... But luckily I have all these 好姐妹s to help me out, through their experience.
Lastly what I want to say to them is: Really thank you for giving me such a memorable Hen's Nite and letting me feel that I am so so so much blessed by the love and friendship that you all have been giving me..Especially to those who have sacrficed their precious weekends with their loved ones, birthday celebrations, or even those who are ill... I am really really very loved ...very touched...very happy...
Despite all the ups and downs I am facing in my work right now, I know I have a continous support of friends and colleagues who are always there to support me, through thick and thin....
I am also especially touched by their blessings and wishes for me n JQ (thou I hate the part of drinking whenever they finish blessing. Ha!) I am also happy to reveal how I feel about JQ..deeply beneath my heart...I am not sure if he knows about it...Hee...Hope he does..One day perhaps?
Thank U once again, my beloved 姐妹们. Thanks for helping me so much in my wedding preparations...Forgot to mention, I had a wonderful gift from them! Will upload Part 2 photos soon...

Have U reallie TREASURE your loved ones?
I was being reminded only after watching World Trade Centre movie, that I seemed to have "forgottened" that I have married this wonderful man as my husband (and going to have our customary wedding in less than a month), that I have "forgottened" to treasure him as the man I love, and say how much I love him verbally. We often pass words of love through sms, emails, thou we are facing each other day in day out. How ridiculous! Both of us are the closest items in this world, yet the words of love are so far left behind by us! Ha! I gave him a real big hug after the show, and whispered to him that I love him...No reaction from him leh! haha...
The show touches me...deeply...After terrible being couped beneath heaps of heavy fallen debris and feeling lost and hopeless as time ticks....But life is yet so wonderful when your mind flashes your dear ones, your kids, your family...They keep you alive, they keep you positive, they give you the strength to carry on...
Of cuz the friends' support is also very important in life...Without the support of each other, the 2 cops in the show may have died even earlier...Without the talking and encouraging for each other, they may have fallen asleep...They reminded each other that they are still alive for each other at that moment of crisis, in the midst of darkness and thirst.
I cried...during the show, and the day before...
My partner at work is leaving me soon...I felt that I lost a very important support in part of my life...Life at work is not easy..but we supported each other throughout the 6-7 months.. I felt lost and unsupported...I felt scared of the tremendous work load and uncertainties I would be facing...But I can't possibly stop her right? She is making this choice for herself, for her family, for her 3 young kids...She needs a more regular working hour job. I am "forced" to accept the changes once again...I just had another partner leaving few months ago (who I don't feel I wan to mention anymore about her)
But then...life is still full of support and kindness... My management asked me into the room, talked to me, made me feel I am being appreciated and treasured in the company, given the work attitude that I am giving. They know how I feel. They want to let me know that "Hey! U r not alone! U still have us! We have gotten someone in to help ease the situation." They know that it won't be easy for me, especially I am only 6-7 months old in this company without any relevant experience/ financial background. But they are willing to help me... thank god! I felt so much relieved and comforted... At least I know I won't be "forced" to leave the company cuz I felt closer to them, and that I wan to continue to learn and grow there....I still treasure the times we had..I still treasure every little things she has taught me, and every moments we once shared...
I pray hard...thou I don't have a religion...I pray that things can be resolved and be peaceful soon...
I pray for the survivors and victims of 911..I am sorry that I din realise the situation was so bad at that time..I was still "enjoying" myself in my own comfort zone, within this safe country of mine...I feel sorry for my ignorance n lack of concern at that time..until after I have watched the show...

Catholic High School Gathering/ Wedding Preps Gathering

With me
Sat 16 Sep: Catholic High School Gathering
Dear brought me to meet his Catholic High School gathering near our house, formally introducing me to his lao shi as "his lao po" and also inviting them to our wedding. As what Dear has predicted correctly, I am able to mingle well with his friends, and talk even more than him! His lao shi is really one nice and amiable lady...
Sun 17 Sep: Wedding Preps Gathering
It was quite disappointing as there are some people who are unable to come for some reasons or another. Either some forget (I dun blame them), MIA, or got ill (Take care ok?) But I am glad there are some who can make it on a Sunday, and managed to get both sides of Brothers & Sisters to meet up. We did discuss about some details, and it was really overwhelming for me...Getting married is really a taxing task, and I am glad I have all these friends' support all these while...
I shall be very busy in Oct, getting all those little things done and bought.

PWM Offsite 2006 - Bangkok
This is my first time going on a trip with my company, and for its official Offsite event @ Bangkok. As everyone knows Bangkok is a shopping paradise, my main agenda is to have fun and do lotsa shopping! Other than my own money, my Sales Rep also gave us an angpow of THB 5,000 to do more shopping there!
Yippee!! Departure from SG: 8th Sep (Fri) 6pm
Everyone is in BKK holiday mood ever since Thursday...Symptoms: Losing of concentration, Laughing and joking endlessly, feeling light and fluttery. How to treat? Just go to BKK lor! haha...I managed to clear my work by 3pm which is the time for us to depart from office. Dear is so sweet that he comes all the way to meet me for lunch as he can't send me off to airport. Felt

So long never go abroad for holiday..so long never sit aeroplane liao...It has been 4 years since I went Bangkok... Sua Ku hor?Very excited of this trip. Going to shop-till-I-drop!
Reached BKK around 8-tish.Had a remarkable experience @ the airport. Firstly the stupid Counter staff gave me that disgusting irritating look when I passed her my passport with my nice pinkish passport holder.I also gave her a dirty look when I am being asked to look at the camera in front of her.So unfriendly staff! Then the whole group of us(12) went to the wrong exit to look for the Plaza Athenee hotel representative, who turns out to be a young guy in cap and T-shirt,holding on a sign stating "Morgan Stanley". How can that be?It should not disclose our company name publicly in the first place, and secondly, we were told that it should be indicating "PWM Offsite" instead!! Suspiscious thoughts and tense feelings uprose among the 12 of us.Furthermore, that chap doesn't know where to bring us to, and how many people he is driving, upon asking him. We quickly go to the Information Counter to check on the right Hotel Rep.Later then we know that that chap is the guide, and the hotel rep who is supposed to be dressed in suit and pants is late. All these hoo-ha caused us to be delayed at the airport for more than an hour. One of my friend also quite suay, lost his hp on the place.Luckily he's a rich guy.So no worries to get a new one.But then our shopping agenda has been delayed by all these hoo-ha lor.Anyway my first stop is Suan-Lum Night Bazaar which has totally bowled me over with its cheap and cute stuffs! Bought a lot of stuffs and had some Thai food there. So Enjoy ah!
9th Sep (Sat): Team Building Activity
The team building activity is a cooking competition, of each group made up of 8 pax, from both HK and SG PWM staff. The dishes are of course Thai specialities, with a famous lady chef demonstrating to us on the stage. The food we prepared are YUMMY!!!How I wish I can eat more of it before it is being taken to the kitchen
Wat a pity. I like the dessert the best! Well, we learnt to interact with one another with them communicating in Cantonese, while me trying hard to understand it..haha..lousy right? We all do our part well, without making things ugly for one another (especially when you need to dedicate tasks, or instructing who and who to do wat and wat - that kinda stuffs lor.) Maybe everyone is already grown up so behaves like matured people. Well, we didn't win, but we have gained wonderful team building time!
A bit (actually very) disappointed when I realise I din get my cert and receipes as I wan to try cooking for Dear to eat one...They say they will pouch to me directly...Duno true or not
Tried cheering myself up, by treating myself to another shopping treat for the afternoon!
Shopping Venues:
1) Platinum Fashion Mall
2) MBK Shopping Mall
3) Siam Square
Finally I am able to buy my lingerie, ate some more Thai food along roadside, bought Thai tidbits back to Singapore. Completed another round of necessary shopping before I have to head back to Singapore on Sunday.
Highlight of the Night - PWM Gala Dinner (Pokka Dot Theme)Gota rush back to hotel by 5.45pm to meet up with the performance group. FYI, newbies like me have to put up a performance during the Gala Dinner. Well, it was really hard to coordinate the gathering, let alone the rehearsal. I was quite frustrated and unhappy with their attitude, and also almost the whole night I am hiding myself in the corner, feeling very very very unhappy...
I don't like the socialising that they are doing...I don't like the way people go up to the big boss trying to create an impression...I don't like all the commotion....I don't like when I see the ugliness of how some people behave...I don't like when they keep compelling the poor guy to do something he don't like.
I am just keeping quiet the whole night, eating my food, preparing for my performance stint when its time to be...Smile at the camera when I need to...
I rather hide in my room and stay away from all these...
Well, the performance did turn out very hilarious as our male lead has decided to put in his 101% efforts and courage into the performance. Everything went well later..
Right after the dinner,a few of us went back to Suan Lum Night Bazaar to continue some more shopping..Well, it wasnt as nice and exciting as the first night..So only bought 2 belts for my dad and father-in-law. Sat Tuk Tuk the 2nd time for this trip...Quite fun..like sitting bike like that...
Departure from BKK: 10th Sep (Sun) 11am
Took the earlier flight with AP cuz she needs to prepare for her next-day Taiwan trip. Anyway I am also glad that i can go home earlier to see my hubby...He muz have missed me alot!
I want to Thank my Dear for helping me with all the housework by himself when I was away imersing myself in my shopping spree...I really can't Thank u enough...Thanks for taking the MRT to airport to come and fetch me...
We shall go and enjoy ourselves again in BKK after our wedding!

Food Tasting Day 02092006

Today we are having our food tasting of the banquet dishes, and also have a pre-birthday celebration for our September "Babes". They are:
9th Sep XXXX: My sis-in-law
10th Sep XXXX: My Father-in-law and my brother (Difference by how many years? Duno leh..hee..)
Even the banquet manager Felicia is also born in September (8th). How coincidental yah?
The main character for the night is still Dawn..She's forever surprising everyone with her outburst of words..Its really correct phrases one lor! Her energizing mood will not fail to cheer the people around her. Even the Banquet Mgr and the waitress kept praising how cute and clever she is. The service provided by the waitress is really good...Maybe they are giving us a good impression? hee...
Ths dishes are quite well-done, except for some, we have decided to change it, or ask them to improve on it. My favourite dish is the Hot-and-Cold Combination Dish, while Dear loves the Crispy prawns the best...Well, its up to the guests to determine which ones are their favourite liao : )
We have also chosen our Wedding Favours, Wedding Cards (even took back a batch), Wedding Theme. Next will be to start the printing and stuffs...Will be getting busy soon...Maybe will do it after my BKK trip next weekend (8th - 10Sep)
After the dinner, Dear & I went for some photo-shooting of night scenes (To test our new camera) and also went for KTV-ing by ourselves (which we seldom do). Well, our skills have deteriorated by alot..maybe due to lack of practice lah...Long time nver go KTV-ing liao... I also concuss by the time it reaches 12-1am..Dear say I useless leh... :P
Farm Tour 020906

This is my long-awaited and our first farm tour @ Sungei Tengah, thanks to SRC planned activity (and also crediting Dear to bring me along for this trip).Overall its an educational and enriching tour on Bees Farm, Fish Farm, Pets Farm, Animal Farm...The Farm Tour guide - Uncle William aka "Lim Chu Kang" is also humorous and educative. He knows alot of stuffs and has taught us alot...
We bought quail + quail eggs back to cook the special and so-called delicious soup, using Uncle William's special receipe. Little do I know that the frozen quails come with their heads and feet still intact!!! Yucks!!! i felt so gross and can't bring myself to cut them!! So no choice I have to ask Dear to do it..Thank god he is able to put his hands on it, but he needs to eat a sweet in case he pukes!! Hahah...We have both "vowed" never to buy quails anymore...Hopefully its really that tasteful and good for lungs/ asthma.
We also bought our new pet - a fighting fish - and we name him "阿虎" cuz he's supposed to be "fierce" mah! haha...English name is "Tiger" Cute nickname is "Tigger". He's in blue, with white tail. We have put his house on top of our new shoe cabinet. Nicee... At least we have some "life" in the midst of our squarish house.
Do go for this Farm visit next time with your partner/ friends/ family! Its quite a nice experience.

Yeh!!! I've passed it!!
Before my exam which is at 2.30pm, I have received several well-wishes from my colleagues and Sales Reps, making me even more nervous every single minute as it approaches the exam time..Bcuz' the more wishes you have, the more pressure it has piled onto me... *Stressed* I am really worried that I will disappoint them, especially after so much expectations...
Every MCQ question I read, I ponder...Every answer I click, I feel nervous and unsure...I pray hard in my heart and even close my eyes shut, buried my face into my hands when I submit my answers after 48 mins and 52 seconds (Total exam time is 60 mins). 拼了! I am still prayin reaaaaaaaaalllllllllll hard inside, heart pumping hard.... My head keep seeing a lot of images of those people who placed hopes on me to pass the exam 1st time...Am I able to tell them that I have passed??? Many uncertainties inside me while that moment froze...
Then I saw a "Pass (> 79 grade)" I am stunned for that moment. Is this what I am really seeing? Is it true??? Yeh!!!! Cuz this exam requires min 70 grade in order to pass lor.... very worried that I can't pass lor! Finally...Relieved... Its all over.... I can finally announce my good news to them, in peace...
Everyone was happy for me (And also implying that they can pass the burden to me liao!) Hmm...what a way to congradulate me leh... Anyway, this is really a small exam...I duno why is everyone making such a big fuss over me... But I can say, I am fortunate to receive so many people's blessings and attention despite its (really) such a small and unimportant exam.... Hee

First BIG thing that I do to celebrate my exam's "glory" is to buy my K600i Sony Ericcson phone - The limited edition of Fusion Red color. Although I only need to pay $78 after discount and using the vouchers, Dear pay for me as a belated birthday gift for me... Double YEH YEH!!! No need spend $$$ also got free phone!! Woho!!
2nd BIG thing to do is to buy our Digital Camera. We din go to Comex cuz realised its too far, and anyway Dear has found another highly recommended-cum-sell good offer shop @ Ang Mo Kio. So after researching on the forum for the past few days, Dear has finally decided on the.....

Dear realli love the camera, so am I! I like especially the large screen..Its quite user friendly too! Now we are able to take nice photos for our Farm Tour, and our Food Tasting on this sat...Forgot to mention, this shop gives quite a few good freebies lor - A tripod stand, a leather camera case, a 1GB XD memory card, a Lithium Battery, and a screen protector. All for just $590 (After bargaining for further discount). Its a
We also managed to find a nice and within-our-budget shoe cabinet from a furniture shop in Ang Mo Kio too...Now our house will look more complete with the compatible shoe cabinet liao.. hiak hiak...
We totally enjoyed both of our company today...

Off-Day with Dear...
Firstly, there are some photos from the Housewarming session on last Saturday, with compliments from Adeline. As you know, my camera is missing so have to depend on her camera liao.
Today and tomorrow, me n Dear took leave to stay @ home - Reason? I am preparing for my exam which is tomorrow, so would like to stay home to revise. Another Big Reason is, I want to take the opportunity to sleep late and stay at home with my dear hubby! We went super-marketing @ Mustafa late at night, so to prepare the brunch today. My "Elite House-husband" (the nick given by Ade) has prepared nice roti-pratas with egg & cheese for me! Nice!! A pity I can't take any pictures of it. Probably next time?
Now I have to go back and study hard for my exam liao...
Its actually not a very very important exam, so I have pressure from my Sales Rep & Mgmt to pass the first time, cuz the other newbies have already taken the exam and passed...Sian... Extra pressure... So I must do my best to study hard and do well! Wish me luck k?Another excited thing is, I may be able to change my handphone today cuz my handphone has passed its 21 month birthday!! Looking at this model cuz its having a Singtel-cum-Yellow Pages promotion:

Early Sunday morning...MP Feedback Session
My excited 老公 quickly dressed up, cleaned up, and pull me together to meet the MP...He is so enthusiastic cuz this is his 1st time meeting the MP! Muahahaha....
We feedbacked to him mostly good remarks about our Estate and the location, but only brought up a problem with the quality of the water supply. As our flat has been unoccupied for few years, we were quite worried about the water quality, especially we realise it left stains on our utensils. They gladly arrange "somebody in charge of the environment one" to take care of the plumbing of our sewage pipes, and such..haha... After the session, we couldn't go back to pig-out in our Dreamland, as we normally would...
Now my Dear is searching online for good reviews of Digital Camera...Don't tell me, our fate with our 3 years old camera has already ended? Is it coming back to us? Have we misplaced it anywhere? Have someone taken it accidentally? We don't know....Too many "???" Too frustrating liao...
Our Saturday Gathering...Happy & Sad....
Dear was not around when my thumb is bleeding profusely..
I quickly wrap it with tissue papers and hold it high up..No choice, the rest of the cooking (Fried Bee Hoon) & washing up has to be done by Dear, and I can only help with the deep frying of the other food & entertaining my guests! Haha.... Thanks Dear! The Bee Hoon is nice, despite its our first trial! (Photos will be uploaded next round)We have a new Mahjong Table and Mahjong Set from them, and they had a nice and friendly game after dinner... Thank u Thank u... With the Mahjong Set, we won't have lack of entertainment for our friends' next visit liao!
Sadly to end the day, I realise I lost my camera! I juz can't find it!

I remembered I was using it quite recently but duno where I put it liao!! I search the whole house but to no avail... Tanlin, pls pass me some your "Lost & Found" luck bah!!!!!
