Dawn dancing in Toys R Us

Dawn Dawn in Toys R Us

Babysitting Weekend

We had our chance to get close and personal with Dawn over the weekend. Babysitting her gives us a very REALISTIC experience of being a full-time parent. There are joy and laughter when being together with a child as their innocence can bring a smile on your face  But during these 2 days, we also saw the "mischievious" side of her that sometimes will annoy us.

Saturday:

Sacrificed our weekend beauty sleep and woke up at 7-tish, to welcome the arrival of the Princess!! *Yawn*x 2

Barely managed to keep my mind active until I had my breakfast and coffee at MacDonald's. Some pics of the little Princess when she's in our house watching cartoon, on the bus, playing around, sitting on rides ($2 per ride!! very expensive hor!), and eating MacDonald breakfast.

Some endearing moments of Dear and the Little Princess...

The young inspiring artist at work:
Got my first experience with her - Bathing her, and wiping her ass after she ps-ed! haha... Seeing her ps is very funny one.. When there's opportunity, I demonstrate to you.. Got facial and verbal expressions one...

We got a guest at home on Saturday and the Little Princess see so pretty jie jie and kept going to her, and very nice towards the jie jie hor?Agree to take photos with her, hug her, kiss her.. Er-shu often have to ask many times before the Little Princess agrees..haha..

She was so active throughout the whole afternoon, and I just can't get her to take her nap (so that I can sneak in some sleep too mah...) By the time she went back to my in-laws place, I was 3/4 shacked! Have to conserve 1/4 of my energy for the dinner part. By the time we see her again for dinner, she looked totally sian and restless..prob lack of napping time bah.. But once she has started eating, and showing off her "chopsticks" skills, she is back to her bubbly self again! And, she was twisting her body and butt to the song in Toy's Rus ("U put your left leg in, you put your left leg out, .. and you shake it all about...") - Video clip here.

Sunday:

Brought the Little Princess to her Sunday lesson @ KinderMusic. I was "honored" to be selected (again) as the ass-cleaner for her as she requested that er-shen to go ng-ng with her.. argh.. haha.. Well, the real honor was that I could accompany her to see her perform in her class for 15 minutes, on behalf of her parent.

We observed her in the class. She was the only most obedient one who would sit down properly, listen to teacher's instructions, and follow teacher's singing most accurately! So proud of her! I was also very happy that I could join in the class with her, despite its only a mere 15 minutes...

Some random shots of "A Happy Family"? Hee... Dawn was laughing loud and was embarrassed when Dear was trying to kiss me on my cheek while posing for the photos.. she say cannot like that!!! haha...

After these 2 days of real experience.. we were both shacked... Wondering if we should really have a child.. its so physically and mentally draining! Shall enjoy the peaceful and relaxing moments for now..

Sunshine after the downpour

"Will there be sunshine after the downpour last night?" I wonder...

It had been a night of heartache, admist tossing and turning in the bed alone, my mind replaying all the unhappy events...

I just hope the storm will blow over, and the sun will shine after the downpour...

Olympics Craze in office!

There was this Olympics Craze in my office recently, especially today when the Table Tennis Team from Singapore is set against South Korea in the semi-finals today. And this could lead us to our first medal in this Olympics!

Probably its also because today is a Friday, almost everyone in the office is in a Friday-cum-Olympics mood. So more and more people gathered around the dealers' desk to watch the exciting match as the day end approaches...

Loud cheers! Clapping! Occasional sounds of dismay...More Cheers again!

But, the end results was heartening! 3-2 !

Women’s team:

Wang Yuegu (SIN) beat Gao Jun (US) 11—6, 7—11, 11—8, 11—4.

Fang Tianwei (SIN) beat Wang Chen (US) 11—2, 8—11, 11—4, 15—13.

Wang Yuegu/Li Jiawei (SIN) beat Gao Jun/Huang Xi (US) 11—5, 11—9, 11—7

Sigh, side-tracked a bit.. despite today is a Friday.. I went straight home right after work... sian... Normally I would like to go out with Dear, with my friends.. no matter wat, I have to find some activities to keep me occupied cuz its Friday!!!!!

But, Dear has to work late today...side-tracked another little bit... my poor Dear and his lady boss are the only ones in the department for this week and next week while 3 people are down - 1 in reservist for 2 weeks, 2 went on leave. So coincidental that almost the majority has to go away for that long at the same period!!!! While they are enjoying their reservist and their leave, he and his lady boss have triple times of workload, triple times of problems, triple times of headache, yet only have that much of time and energy on their hand to cope... sigh...

Ok, finished rambling, grumbling and ke-lian-ing my Dear..

Lastly, I want to pray hard for some friends who need some prayers for all the things that they face...I feel for you.. I feel for the feelings that you undergo... Things will be better eventually..

Answers would be revealed, Truth would be known, and Love would be showered on you.

National Day Annual Affair

It started from The National Day last year, that we organized a badminton outing. The turn-out was great! We occupied 2 courts.

This year, we continue the "National Day Tradition". Again we organized a badminton outing. Although some people were missing in action, some did not turn up last minute, we still have enough pax for 2 courts! haha... This year's venue is different thou as the other popular sports halls were all fully booked! Never thought that the demand for badminton courts is so high this year! hmm... So we have no choice but to go to the unfamiliar ex-SMU sports hall at Bukit Timah.

After the great physical work-out with the gang, both of us went for some 'mind work-out' at the Mind Cafe located at Purvis Street after a hearty early dinner of Hainanese chicken rice, Hainanese Pork Chop rice & hei zhou.

Actually Dear should be very good at playing games, as what he says. But surprisingly, I managed to win him quite few times today! haha.. especially at a mind-thinking strategy game.. Hiak Hiak.. In the end, I had the last laugh when he thought he had it all planned out thorough and well! In the end the loser got to pay for the drinks and gaming time...

Let's continue our "National Day Tradition" next year!

Being Reciprocated

No matter how much one gives and contributes, it is not always that it will be reciprocated.

No matter how much one loves and cares, it is not always that it will be reciprocated.

I hate this feelin of non-reciprocated (I take it as non-appreciated!)

Can you see how much I care for u, my dear friend?

I think I am giving up of doing so much, and caring so much.

Cuz... wat for?

Be Patient.

I am telling myself - Be Patient.

Within these 2 years, things have been going according to our plans - Getting married, having our own love nest, getting our own car, traveling, developing our career, building up our finances, and most importantly, couplehood bondage.

I have to be patient, thou many times, I have been very tempted...

Please be more patient.

Disney Dinner with Dawn

When we first saw this Disney-theme restaurant at Anchorpoint, we'd already made a pact to bring Dawn there for dinner one fine day...

Yesterday we had a Disney Dinner date with her, and I was so happy rushing home as there was something I looked forward to! Dawn, knowing that we were bringing her out for dinner, was in high spirits and was jumpin up and down in joy... I felt like she was my own kid... : - )

When we brought her to the restaurant, could see that she liked the place! We ordered 2 Mickey-Mouse shaped pizzas, 1 waffle, 1 strawberry milkshake, and 1 ice-blended fruit juice. The food-wise looks cute but not tasty... While waiting for the food to arrive, we brought her to the gift corner whereby we told her she could choose 1 gift for herself and 1 gift for mei mei.. she went round choosing.. picking things here and there.. can't decide what to choose... haha.. In the end, she got a meaningful gift for herself and mei mei - A Savings Box.. Then I told her to get her parents to start contributing 10 cents each day to the savings box..

She also had fun playing with the water at the washing area, playing the computer games on a Mickey Mouse shaped computer.. She was also so immersed in watching the cartoons shown on the Big movie screen while eating her food.

We had lotsa fun talking to her, listening to her "adult yet naive" talk.. And she's really good with her words now! On the car, she pointed to the moon and said "crescent moon" (I dun even know if I know the word "crescent" when I was of her age, or even older!! haha...)

I wish I would have such an obedient and lovable girl like her in the future...

About Recent Me...

Family:
- Grandma is recovering well at a Rehab Home, and seems to have gained her energy back. Visiting her is more difficult than when she was in SGH, cuz its at Simei.. However, with her progression, she should be able to come home soon.
- Initially was in the midst of preparation of hiring a foreign domestic maid for grandma, and realised how mafan the paperwork is!By twist of fate, while doing the online certification course required to be completed by the employer, I discovered that this maid agency that was recommended and used by hubby's grandma is not ACCREDITED and has a low RETENTION SUCCESS RATE and low EMPLOYMENT VOLUME (refer to MOM website). She is also using her brother's shop at Lucky Plaza as her office registered address lor, cuz she is working from home, and is also doin P/t counseling work. "Fortunately" the maid whom we have chosen, changed her mind and decided not to come to SG, then I can use this right opportunity to "reject" using this maid agency service. *Phew*
- Since grandma is recovering well, mum decided to monitor her situation w/o employing a maid first. Shall pray for her health and hope everything will be back to normal soon...

Work:
- My direct supervisor-cum-boss had a discussion talk with me on Thursday, about my Learning & Development plans, initiated by our big boss (Reg. Head of Legal). As per my direct supervisor's observation, they have decided to train me as a Paralegal, and enrol me in relevant courses to attain that. So, I will have a chance to move up from an Administrator to another professional platform. I am thrilled to hear that! I am thrilled that I am being recognized for my work and efforts, and I am thrilled that I enjoy my daily work and I find a sense of achievement. I am thrilled that the company is making plans for me and I am able to see "light" in front of my tunnel of career path! Although there will be some diversion away from my initial direction towards Corporate Secretariat, but its ok! Cuz the portion of Corporate Secretariat work in my company is not much, and strictly speaking, its a very dry course.. wahaha... But at the very least, I still have some basic foundation from my course and work experience in previous job la. Anyway, its good news for me!
- Juz had my first fire drill evacuation exercise on Friday. Being Kiasu and Kiasee, me and my direct supervisor chiong down to the ground floor, by lift, 1 hour before the fire drill exercise time! Wahaha... We juz CAN'T walk down 46 stories of stairs lah.. please...

Miscellaneous:
- Finally, after so so so long,  when all of my friends are already in the network, I've finally joined Facebook! Hahaha... I thought Facebook looks so complicated and not-easy-to use, so I kept rejecting the idea and various invitations.. Finally, after friends have commented that "I muz catch up with the times!", I decided to open an account and alas! I found it quite easy to use leh.. wahaha.. So the moral of the story is - If you do not try, you will never know, right?
- I should have added most of the friends I know. But if I have not added you, please pm me your Facebook account la.
