Preview of F1 Grand Prix trial run

Being situated on the high floor of the OCBC Centre, I have the bird's eye view of the F1 Grand Prix race track. See the brightly-lit track there?



This afternoon was the F1 Grand Prix trial run and we got to witness it! Once we heard the loud racing sounds, almost all of us rushed over to the window. The racing cars were so small, like Tamiya cars.. hee..

It was an exciting moment having to witness the F1 Grand Prix trial run for the very first time, without having to pay anything. haha... Especially when we traveled up onto ECP from Rochor, we were so so so near to the racing cars and they were really LOUD!!! Both me and Dear were excited but we just can't seem to see the cars despite hearing the loud vroom-ing sounds..Real stereo leh!

What's happening to the World now?

I think the World is slowly moving towards self-destruction.

What happened previously? - Sars causing countless death, 9-11 major terrorism attack, mad cow disease, economic crisis, hole in ozone layer widening, tsunamis...

What's happening now? - With the US$ dropping, petrol prices rising, major investment banks declaring bankruptcy, other investment banks forming coalition in order to continue surviving in this big market, China's milk products causing death, several other milk products being recalled in SG, weather all around the world going haywire and unpredictable, Sze Chuan earthquake disaster, sudden heart attack deaths....

Its quite saddening to see all these happening around us uncontrollably while we only focus on working, making money, setting up our own family - everything revolving around own's life.

Should we care for the environment and Mother Earth more before the World really self-destruct? 

Why?

I dun understand why... why must couples have cold wars, silence treatment, harsh words, arguments, etc??

Its a very mind and emotional torturing when things like that happen...

Why must such things happen over small issues that are not important in the first place?

Why can't I take an overnight cool-down period to forget the unhappiness inside me, before we kiss and patch up again?

I dun mean to be unhappy as and when I like. I can't control the emotions inside me right! I can't pretend that I m ok, when I know I am not, and I m sure you know I am not.

I m unhappy becuz I dun understand why our previous conversations in our memory got swopped. Its so unbelievable when you insisted on your words that you said the things that you din (at least in my memory). I know sometime my memory fails me, but there are certain times, I can remember things clearly. That's when I am perplexed. Cuz I just can't convince myself that I was wrong and you were right. When I feel unjustified, I can't swallow it like that. Why can't I be unhappy becuz I feel unjustified? Since I can't get over my feelings with a snap of finger, why can't I take the quiet way out to distract my feelings by watching tv la, do watever things such that I will forget the incident? Why must you harp that I am controlling your emotions?

We are both different individuals, and have different emotions, and have different way of handling emotions. I do not mean to control your emotions, but since we are a couple living together, we will tend to influence each others' feelings cuz we care about each other and are always together. Why can't we learn to observe, learn to adapt and learn to cope with each other's different way of emotions handling? You also have your time that you want to stay away from me, and cool down. If I am not being too unreasonable at the point of time, I will. Cuz' I know and respect that is your way of handling emotions. Over time, even I myself learn this method from you cuz I think its useful.

Most importantly, we must think in such a way that watever unhappy things should be over after the cooling period, and make things good again. Why must we carry over the unhappy things and make it a bigger event than it should have been?

Can we just not continue to be like this? I've waited for your return and hope we have a good and happy couple time together, and not such kind of unhappy time...

When you are not around...

Dear had to attend a 2 days 1 night course training at JB over Friday and Saturday.

Didn't want to spend the Friday night alone, I quickly made plans for myself. As a girl-friend of mine can't go shopping with me last minute, I made another plan that is destructive to my pocket - MAHJONG!!! haha... And I am sure you won't expect who have I arranged with for the mahjong game. Its his colleagues!!! Ya! I gathered a few of his colleagues to my place, without him around! haha.. There's both guys and girls, just in case if you are wondering...

We started off with some games on Wii as this is our next-big-thing in our house. And they enjoyed it! We even had a good time laughin at one of them (person's identity concealed to protect his/her best interests) when playing the boxing game. There's even video evidence! Or I can also demonstrate to you! Wahaha...

After 2 rounds of mahjong, I was the biggest loser (as usual). So, next time Dear shall help me "take revenge" liao..wahaha...

Dear, when you are not around, we also had lotsa FUN!

Confirmed - False Alarm

Its kinda confirmed that its indeed a false alarm, the day right after I blogged the prev entry. Cuz period symptoms came along then the real thing came another day later...

sigh...

Guess its still not time yet.

Felt kinda nauseous for the past few days...

Hubby said that he had a strong hunch that this is IT... His 'soldiers' were strong and powerful!

I was wondering... could it really be this time?

Hubby was happy and said "Finally he is going to be a Daddy!" - It brought a smile in my heart

Let's monitor another few more days and see if it is a false alarm or not...

Intern Management

Bloggin via Wifi-my 1st time @ macs on my G900. Haha. Anyway I m killin time while waitin for Dear who's zeng-ing his car again n for d shops to be opened!

Well , bac to the main topic. recently we've an intern for 3 mths. instead of havin additional help,i tink i m havin a much harder time than b4.sigh.. prob its my time n ppl mgmt problem ba. Jux cant seem to hav enough of my own time. Being an "overly-eager" learner, she will also "bug" me at the wrong time to ask for more work, e.g. when I am eating my breakfast or when I am occupied with a task. Maybe she's still young and inexperienced bah, so also can't "blame" her totally. Hopefully she gets the "hint" after that...And also I can guess that her character is pretty ambitious, such that she is not someone who will be satisfied with just doing filing. So I can't possibly just throw all backlog filing to her like that. She needs to learn something substantial during this internship period.

Let's hope that with more time for myself , I can learn better to manage how to handle my own work and completing at the usual efficiency, yet at the same time, being able to answer to her queries and giving her enough tasks to keep her occupied! Its a learning challenge for me now..

To me, MAMA MIA! is a very Broadway kind of famous theatrical play but I never got to know what is the storyline behind as I never watched it before. After watching this movie, then realise its a movie with a lot of singing.. But I love all the songs by the popular 70s group ABBA - my  favorites are Dancing Queen, Mama Mia, I have a Dream, Honey Honey, Money Money Money! Can't resist singing along with them!

Thou' this is my first time watching such kinds of show, and its a bit cheesy at some parts, but I still enjoy it very much! Love Pierce Brosnan's good charming looks! woo!

BBQ - Friday

It has been some while since I last had a BBQ.. Dear's colleagues organized one on last Friday nite and I finally got to eat those bbq chicken wings and taiwan sausages again! yummy! The more I ate, the hungrier I got.. haha.. but cannot finish up on the food myself mah Saw the mini Singapore Flyer  (ferris wheel) at the shopping mall beside Downtown East. Looks very fantasy-like!

Bowling - Saturday

Dear and I joined the bowling event organised by my company's Rec Club, at Marina Square Bowling Centre on Saturday... I admit I am the lousiest bowler.. my ball kept rolling into the long-gangs, and got the lowest score.. sigh.. Think I better play at my Wii bowling game instead. At least I scored much much better than in reality..haha..

Birthdays - Saturday & Sunday

September is a busy month with many important birthday celebrations going on - My brother (10 Sep), my sis-in-law (9 Sep) & my father-in-law (10 Sep).


Went to Crab Party on saturday to celebrate my brother's birthday first. The crab bee hoon was great and the crab was really chunky and sweet! It rained during 2nd part of the dinner and we had to quickly finished our dinner while getting splashed by the raindrops!

Hand-made a box with the wooden items bought from Daiso, and we shared a Creative X-Fi MP4 for his present this year. Hope he likes it!

Sunday was to celebrate my father-in-law and sis-in-law's birthday. Food was not bad, thou there were some dishes that my in-laws "complained" that its not fresh..sigh.. then they complained to the Captain whom they are on quite good terms with since they always patronised this restaurant. In the end, the Captain gave us free shou-tao and changed another dish for us at no extra charge. All well ends well. Dinners are always more lively with the 2 kids around... Never have awkward silence again.. hee...

We also spent a wonderful Sunday afternoon at Xinyou & Eunice's solemnization at his condo's Club House. They made good efforts to decorate the place and the food was great too!

Even saw this Carebears' cake design from Prima Deli and took his brochure for future reference. Hee... So was telling Dear that I was thinking of getting a soft toy to put in my office, but din know which one I like. Wii - Weet!

Got ourselves from the Comex Fair a long-awaited gaming addition (can also be an 'addiction') to our household - Nintendo Wii!

It's really a very fun, enjoyable and 'physical' game that I truly enjoy playing with! As I am not a gaming person, this is the first time I got myself so involved with. Although we only have 1 original game to play with now - which is the Wii Sports, both of us had a rollin' good time playing and laughing over tennis game, trying to strike at bowling game, and creating look-alike Mii! Dear got a square-faced Mii while I got a mole at the right position on my face! LOL!

It was also hilarious looking at Dear in his boxing game, when he is so serious at all his punches and defences! Laughed until non-stop lor.

I am sure this will be the next-big-thing happening in our house, apart from mahjong-ing!
