August Updates

Some good news and some interesting encounters to share...

1. Good News

Dear finally got substantial pay rise after he tendered his resignation letter, but then got counter-offered by his current company. Its a good thing, as it shows that the company actually recognises his contribution and will want to keep him in the company. Him, being the loyal employee, feels so rooted to the company, of cuz agree to the counter offer. Reason why he tendered his resignation is, he was successfully selected by XXX company after 2 rounds of interview, and he wanted to take the higher salary package and to give himself more exposure in that area. But fate twisted, he is not moving on anymore. Hopefully he will be moving "up" even if he is not moving "out"...

2. Interesting Encounters

That day we'd a Committee meeting arranged, and lunch was provided. Being the ganjiong Aunty (not me, my colleague), she was very "hyper" about the lunch thingy. I feel that the lunch part is just a bonus of the meeting, most importantly is the meeting is carried out smoothly, instead she was focusing on the lunch part. Starting from the ordering of the lunch, selection of items (how to choose a variety of sandwiches, coupled with starters, and fruit salads & soups), and to the arrangement of the sandwiches, she was very ganjiong over it.. And, she is the most Auntiest Aunty whom I ever encountered cuz she is really "tan xiao bian yi" lor. She kept all the paper n plastic bags from the delivery so that she can ta-bao the leftovers home. Being a "clever" & "ingenious" aunty, she even cut up the small pieces of cakes into even smaller pieces! On the front, she said "don't waste the food if they can't finish mah, and also easier to eat bite-sized cakes mah", but I know she is eye-ing those leftover food so that she can bring back home mah. True enough, after the meeting ended, she quickly go and ta-bao whatever she can, and she had already told her son that there will be sandwiches for him tonight..All within her planning lor... haha...

Most of the times she also ta-bao all the leftover foods from the catered buffet we had in the pantry, whenever there are events..I even saw her bring back chunks n chunks of wooden chopsticks and paper plates lor..

Can't control sighing softly and shaking my head...Wat an Aunty! Hope I won't turn out that way.. I resist that behaviour totally!! And pls, dun call me Aunty anymore hor...I dun like to be "Aunty" leh...

An unhappy start for the Public Holiday

It didn't start well...

Lots of silence, uneasiness, perplexity and unhappiness in the house...

Emotions bottled-up till I wan to burst anytime..which in the end I did when something ignite the whole explosion...

Misunderstandings and arguments happened...

Internal and external affairs...

All because we care too much of the person..A partner of mine, and another is a friend of mine...

Is it good or bad? We got angry because we care too much?

Contradicting right?

It just didn't start well..but glad it ended peacefully and harmoniously...

Happy 25th Birthday to Mrs Ang (aka Meiyan)!

Told u its Monday liao lor! All in dark shades...

Had a simple yet enjoyable dinner on Monday - The typical Blue Monday whereby all of us shagged after work, drained...

Ate @ Billy Bombers in Marina Square, after Yan chose her own present for herself - A limited edition Addidas Pink Fusion Watch. Had a small surprise from the Billy Bombers' staff whereby they took picture of us and pin on the board. After knowing that we were there to celebrate Yan's belated birthday, they even gave her a complimentary mocktail drink, and also printed a copy of the group photo for her with well wishes behind. Isn't that sweet? I never got this kind of "complimentary" treats before leh..Hiak hiak...

May she be happy everyday, and every minute of her time.

Happy 25th!
