Chinese New Year 1st Day..After Thots..
Today marks the 1st day of Chinese New Year whereby I am supposed to be regarded as "Mrs" instead of "Ms"... There are some observations and after thots just for the 1st day...
At my relative's side, when they knew I am married, there are a mix of reactions - the closer cousin will congradulate me with joy as she is also having a steady bf now..Sth she is lookin forward to as well? The older cousins who are married with kids will ask me y m I marrying so young? "Wat's the rush?", she asks? I replied " we have been together for quite some time and I feel he's a good man to be with lor." That is my true thinking! Some others will also give me that kind of reactions: "getting married this year ah? So soon ah!" Probably in their minds, they may be thinking " Is this a shot-gun case?" Frankly speaking, no its not. But do you think i would bother to explain to them that marriage is a blissful and happiness thing that is happening to me, but why m i gettin the impression from them that its not? Probably with the realistic circumstances settin in, it will no longer be that beautiful bah?
Contradictory, on my hubby's family side, they are ever so eager and proud to announce to their relatives that we have ROM and is holding dinner this year..I am quite confused with the drastic reactions from both sides?!? M i supposed to feel happy or not?M I really marrying too young? But I do feel happy seeing happy families with their own kids...Children are always so wonderful..I may not be matured or ready for children yet, but they are my ultimate goals...
People are always so funny..when u r single, they ask. when u hav a steady bf, they also ask. when u r gettin married, they ask somemore! Endless endless questions! Sigh...y isit that we cant just fulfil their questions? Y cant they feel happy for others for once, without questionin tt much?
