After 1 week of being new parents...

1 week has passed since we elevated to the status of new parents. It was a frenzy and crazy and tiresome week, with all the feedings - whether direct or expressing (my duty), washing and sterilising the milk bottles and pump (Dear's duty). Other than that, we are now trying to achieve more time in carrying our baby, instead of always the confinement nanny doing it, as we are afraid that the baby will get more used and attached to the confinement nanny.

Talking about the confinement nanny, initially she has been a very great help and always providing experienced advice to us. But now she is starting to show a bit of "experienced attitude" whenever we feedback certain things to her. As parents, of cuz we would prefer to provide the best for the baby, but for them, its more on doing the most efficient way such that they have more time to either do other tasks around the house or get more rest. From her viewpoint, we can understand why she's doing it in such way. But hopefully she can show less attitude when we talk to her nicely. She even ignore my husband when he says to her twice that he wants to carry her!!! Ridiculous right? Now we are worried cuz we still have her around the house, taking care of the baby while we rest for the next 2 and 1/2 weeks... How?

So now I really hope we can get more hands-on in taking care of the baby ourselves, and hopefully my confinement month can be over reallllllll soonnnnnnn.... Can't take it any longer liao! Cannot have a proper bath lah, keep perspiring lah, have to keep drinking those tonics lah, have to wake up earlier and have a full day event of feeding baby. Now even have to tolerate a tightly-wrapped tummy for my jamu slimming session. Its not easy walking like a stiff mummy while tryin to breastfeed. Even Dearie gets tired-out with all the routine daily tasks revolving around the baby...

We miss our good old days whereby we snuggle inside our air-conditioned room, watching tv la, talking to each other la.. We badly need a break - away from everything...
