Some things that I chanced upon, making me reflect, "Do I have a Best Friend - Bestest Friend in the world?" This Bestest Friend is different from a Close Friend, or a Buddy, or even Good Friend. This Bestest Friend only have You in her heart, and You are the No. 1 whom she will think of or approach for whatever that happens in her life. I dont have a Bestest Friend, sadly to say..At most i am only No. 2 or 3 or even duno which position in that friend's heart. I feel quite sad to think of that. This shows that my social skills are not good, my personality has a problem, or I am not good enough for them. I have a few good and close friends, glad to say that. But I just dun have the "Bestest Friend" I may be saying all these out of sour grapes? I admit it does not feel really that nice when you know you are not good enough to be someone's Bestest Friend, or when you know that you are just always someone's else person-in-waiting.
I ask myself, "Do I have my own Bestest Friend? " I tried to have..but realise its so sad after knowing that you may not be someone's Bestest Friend after all! I feel very little of myself, and thinkin y am I considering other's as my "Bestest Friend" when someone may not think of you as the same level?
Am I too narrow-minded? I dun think so..Cuz there's only 1 "Bestest Friend" in the world, only 2 of you counting on each other no matter how the world turns round and round...
I think my "Bestest Friend" is my husband, after so many years of friendship gained and built for 23 years?
my bestest friend is keat too. cos i know i can always count on him and can tell him anything.

In fact, u are one of my bestest friends in my life.. even though we somehow lose much contacts during our school days, but I am very happy to have u back in my life.. Truly! Hmm.. I often ponder over this question too.. Though I have a great group of gal pals, they are not as close as I wish them to be. I think my bestest friend is still my husband, where I can really share everything with him.
ReplyDeleteseriously... i think of that too. but come to think of it i rather have alot of best friends coz u know people have different character sometime they can listen but sometime they just cannot, in the sense that they are too busy with their stuff or they cant listen to u repeat same odd prob. ... so u see i rather have many best friends then just one bestest friend n the thing is that if u claim somebody is ur bestest friend u are placing some high expectation for her to meet. shld i say that is a kind of pressure?? that bestest friend might wanna be they for u too but sometimes their attention is not there... so i think more best friends is better for everyone. I always like to be ur best friend too..is just that u dun know thats all kekeke =) Not only u but also meiling n huijing but sometime is just not there yet. Probably time will tell u who is that bestest friend that u already have is just u didnt notice. Or maybe u are waiting for someone to name u as her one bestest friend...Friendship is all abt giving n taking however there is always no balance. the bestest friend to me is someone having some kind of bond that understand one n other. just like wat they mention husband n wife relationship. To that kind of extend, i think only someone u know for a long time can be that bestest friend. hope u understand wat i mean coz my english suck to the max.. keke.

Probably I think too much..But I am glad I have so many wonderful friens out there, carin for me constantly...I wil ltry to be a better friend to everyone who cares abt me...
ReplyDeletei agree babe! i think ur bestest friend will have u in his heart almost all of his waking hours and think abt what's best for u. and of cuz u can only have one "bestest" cuz "-est" is a superlative.. haha.. I am an english teacher mah... so yuppers.. it can only be that one and only hubby of urs..(reading ur blog makes me feel so happy that u are so loved!!!)

U are a great gal and there are absolutely no prob in ur social skills.. well.. u are the first to get hitched... and gd things always get snatched up fast!!! sighh... i hope i have a long shelf-life.. *grinz*.. haha
