28 Nov 07 - An important milestone of my life

Today marks an important day in my life... I have passed my driving test at 1st attempt! Yippee!

U can't believe it? I can't believe it either! I actually accomplish it!

It was raining so heavily this afternoon that I was so worried for myself, wondering how would I fare in this thunderous weather...sob sob... Even Dear and my colleagues and close frens who knew I am taking the test today, worried and pray for me... Thank god that skies began to clear, rain began to soften, thou lightning still strikes on-and-off. But I was really lucky that my nervous heart began to calm down once I started my test... With my guanyin prayers, and my calm composure, I managed to pass one item by one item...and with each successful stations, I felt more and more confident and relieved (especially after I finished my parking sections..haha... most worried about the parking sections...) Also, today I was considered lucky that during lane changing, not many cars, so quite smooth lah... Only a few times when the tester took out his board and made some markings, I knew something went wrong but it still didn't waver my confidence...hee...

After the test ended, the tester asked me while he marked on, " First time huh?", in a solemn and joy-less tone. "Ya" I replied... Then he started telling me which areas that I did not do well... then I looked on earnestly...What will be my verdict? I kept thinking.... PASSED!!! So relieved and joyous lor!!! I am simply on cloud nine!!!  I have overcome my  psychological barrier and the physical weather condition and finally accomplished it...

I want to thank my fixed instructor Mr Tan for his "monstrous" training whereby he spotted my weaker areas and kept training me till I overcome the psychological barrier.. I am really grateful to him.. And he even wrote me a note saying "All in my mind I can do it"... Yes, I really did it....

I also want to thank my Dear, for driving me to SSDC 8 months ago, getting me to sign up for driving, sending me to driving centre for lessons and thru these 8 months, I have learnt a lot and gained a lot of confidence.. At the same time, your assurance and encouragement also pushed me to greater heights... I truly believe I can do it and I did it... Thank you for the probation plate you bought for me, right after you knew I passed my test.. And thanks for letting me drive the car home once I passed my test today..haha... really shiok ah!

Last but not least, I would like to thank my dear frens and colleagues who gave me all the well-wishes today....

Very lastly, I would like to thank my battered shoes which have accompanied me for all these 8 months of driving lessons...
