Our last visit to the Sentosa counted back few years ago. This time we took the opportunity to go to Sentosa for our "Excursion" partly due to the Sentosa Flowers 2008. Have always wanted to go and see see look look since last year but din have the chance. So we decided to do it this year.
These are the places that we have visited in Sentosa as well:
1) Sentosa Flowers 2008
Took the tram from Vivocity station and it was our 1st time. It was fast and convenient, thou packed with many people (note: many indian tourists). Alighted at Imbiah Station, and right below our feet is the Sentosa Flowers venue. Saw a GIGANTIC furry dog when I looked down and we quickly rushed down to take a closer look. There were many KPOs, like us, being very interested with the special size dog and we were all busy taking photos of it, as if it is a "tourist" attraction! Ha! It is a very tame dog as it nvr bark or get irritated with so many KPOs crowding around it. Inside the Flowers garden, we saw many beautiful colorful flowers (Obviously) and many people... It was a good bright day to take a walk in the flowery gardens, thou it was abit hot and we got persipiry and sticky. Dear, being the main photographer, took snaps here and there, trying to take beautiful pictures of the flowers. Enjoy the photos!
2) Skyride & Luge
Dear was very interested to take the skyride and the luge (http://www.sentosa.com.sg/explore_sentosa/attractions/sentosa_luge.html) but I was abit hesitant as I was worried that I may not be able to control well the luge.. At the twelfth hour, decided to take a gamble and agreed to accompany him for the skyride and luge. No regrets at all cuz' it was so fun! Thou' he kept teasing me that I was so slow that we had a big gap between us. It wasn't as scary as I thought it was be. When we took the skyride up, you got to see bird's eye view from the top and it felt great! Yet at the same time, when your feet was dangling in the open air, we got abit tensed..hee... But everything went well...
3) Songs of the Sea
Since we were already in Sentosa, we also decided to go and watch "Songs of the Sea" - replacement of the old Musical Fountain. (http://www.sentosa.com.sg/explore_sentosa/attractions/songs_of_the_sea.html) It was in the form of song-and-dance musical play. Overall it was not so bad thou the musical fountain part was quite similar to the previous version that we saw, thou the setting is different. The most nicest part is the inclusion of the brief fireworks at the end of the show.
*Conclusion: We enjoyed ourselves very much and we were glad to have taken one weekend off for such meaningful "couple-time" activities. No housework for the day, at least. :P Even though Singapore is small and has limited places to visit, it is good to go out for a walk and have "couple-time" more often.
he looks like a serbrian husky! If nt is a german sherperd!
ReplyDeletelooks happening.. maybe i shld go re-visit sentosa also.... haha
ReplyDeletewah looks like both of u have a fun filled day!! And the dog is super huge but looks like a mixed breed le..
ReplyDeleteThis is nice!! From your pics, the flowers look nice, but feedback from my parents were not very good. Probably many flowers were damaged by some of the visitors already when they visited. Or maybe they never explore that much there, haha!
ReplyDeleteThanks for complimenting that the pics of the flowers look nice (JQ will be very proud of himself)..haha... In general the flowers look nice when we went. Luckily we go in the daytime cuz' in the night time the flowers look so dull and non-radiant...
ReplyDeleteU shld go and take a look next year and experience it yourself : )
