The BKK Trip

Did the usual "must-do" activities in BKK -
  • Shopping at MBK, Platinum Mall, Siam Square, Chatuchak, Suan Lum Night Market.
  • Eating (MK Restaurant, Phad Thai)
  • Massage (Had our couple massage session @ Healthland Spa. Cost average THB4,500 per couple for sauna, full body scrub and massage.) A pity I did not have my THB 190 Thai massage at this trip.
Saw some unusual things during this trip, so decided to take some pics (See below)

  • Uncle McDonald with the Thai's hand gesture.
  • A 56-days old Scotch Terrier puppy at MBK. Shivering... But so small and cute!!!!
  • Us posing with Ronaldinho's poster at the MRT station... Hahaha...
Ice-Cream Time!! (Earthquake shared by both of us... so full!!)

Regretted going to Chinatown and Klong Tom Centre (where it sells car accessories) cuz there's nothing much to see there! Wasted our time. Furthermore from there, taxis refused to pick us or send us to Sathorn Road (for our spa session)!! In the end we had no choice but to take Tuk-Tuk despite the price he quoted us. Sigh... The decision to take Tuk-Tuk was terribly wrong wrong wrong!!! We were terrified by the way he drove (dangerously), and worse still, we were caught in a damn long traffic jam that kept us motionless for more than 30 minutes!!! Worse x 2 still, it started to pour heavily while caught in the traffic jam!!! The taxi beside us was occupied and we had no chance to hop onto any oncoming taxis and there was no shelter nearby too! Argh!!!! So we were all drained wet from behind and the sides, and shivering from the cold... In the end we decided not to go for the spa session cuz its pointless. After heading back to hotel, we took a warm bath (separately..haha) then snuggle on the bed watching cheap DVDs that we bought, and ordered cheap room service.. They were yummy and cheap.. did I already mentioned 'cheap' ?

Well, despite the dirty streets and the polluted air in BKK, the trip was still pretty enjoyable.. Just very tired from all the walking...

Oh, here's our 'rewards' from all the walking:

Not really much hor? Dear more pathetic, only got Mario toys for his baby Tanker (the bottom left hand corner)

Shall look forward to our Taiwan trip in Nov!
